Dear Comadres,
This past year has been hard on everyone, everywhere. COVID-19 has forced us to make changes in our lives and at work. Change is happening immediately and in real time. Only good thing is that this pandemic has forced us to stay more connected to our families, long lost friends, our communities and our Comadres.
Face-to-Face Comadrazos are not possible right now or in the immediate future. Las Comadres Para Las Americas will not sanction any such gatherings.
However, we do encourage you to stay active with Las Comadres locally and nationally. Since we are all on social networks, you can attend virtual Comadrazos from anywhere in the country. In addition, we have a new monthly Speaker Series for everyone to enjoy, our monthly Book Club selections, and the Worldwide Comadrazo & 21st Anniversary Celebration in April. Plus, the newly introduced Nora Awards. (Nominate a Comadre today!)
We recommend staying active while at home. Learn a new language. Exercise more often. Try a new type of cuisine. Learn to crochet or play the piano. Try meditation, yoga and zumba. Read more. Play board games. Be active, and just think, you can do all these with your Comadres too.
Below is some general information and links on this pandemic that you probably already know, but it never hurts to see again.
Las Comadres sends you a virtual abrazo. We look forward to the day when hugs and Comadrazos are Live again! Until then, take care, wear a mask, and stay connected to Your Comadres.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE CORONAVIRUS
TRANSMISSION: Coronavirus aka COVID-19 is mainly spread by sick people through droplets created when they talk, cough and sneeze, and when you touch contaminated objects.
SYMPTOMS: Fever, sore throat, cough, shortness of breath, muscle aches, diarrhea. Seek immediate medical attention if you think you’ve been exposed or develop symptoms.
PREVENTION: Maintain good personal hygiene. Wash your hands frequently. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap and water are not readily available. Cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing. Avoid touching your face.
Practice social distancing everywhere you go. Wear your mask every time you go out of your home. Avoid exposure to large groups. And, if you feel unwell, stay inside and call your doctor. Do not travel if you are sick.
