New York, NY—Las Comadres & Friends National Latino Book Club continues connecting readers all over the world through Latino literature. The Book Club is pleased to announce the release of its Fourth Annual Summer Reading List.
“We are very pleased to share our list for your reading pleasure,” says Las Comadres Founder Nora
De Hoyos Comstock. “The Summer Reading List allows us to share the works of more Latino authors than are possible with book of the month and Conversation with… books. Your exposure to these authors gives us hope that their writings will inspire publishers to seek more Latino work.”
She goes on to add: “These authors and topics will challenge you to learn about our Latino roots and different perspectives on Latino cultures and heritage. We invite you to share with us your reviews of these works.”
Las Comadres Book Club’s Summer Reading List offers a “baker’s dozen” with something for everyone – from apocalyptic thrillers to heart-felt poems to political blackmail to memoirs of panic and addiction to historical fiction. The Book Club always includes a children’s book to read as a family and a classical selection. Also, making this year’s List is Snow Falling by the TV character/personality Jane Villanueva portrayed by actress Gina Rodriguez; it’s a suspenseful romance set in Miami 1902.
We encourage you to add our Summer Reading List selections to your TBR piles, give copies to family and friends, order copies at your neighborhood library, and enjoy Reading Latino Lit.

Each month, Las Comadres Book Club features a Book of the Month selection and one or two additional “Conversations with” books. At the end of the month, there is a teleconference with the author(s). During the teleconference, the social media team has a Twitter Chat with comments and tidbits about the book, the author and insights gleaned from the conversation.
